We're thrilled to announce that after seven long years of planning, preparing, and persevering, the moment has finally arrived for us to break ground on our new observatory! This project has been a labor of love, and we're proud of the progress we've made.
As you may recall, our journey was paused when the pandemic hit, and all government offices related to plan approval and permitting were closed. When they reopened, we updated our plans to reflect the changed regulations. Your patience and understanding have meant the world to us!
When the project first started, we were fortunate to raise $30,000 from generous supporters like you. With those funds, we've covered the costs of engineering and architectural services.
Now, it's time to take the next step: construction! We need to raise another $30,000 to cover the costs of materials and labor, which have unfortunately risen over the years as we have all experienced firsthand. That's where you come in! Your contribution will help us bridge the gap and bring our vision to life.

- Build the observatory that will house the Midkiff 25" telescope
- Create a hub for stargazing enthusiasts and astronomers alike
- Foster a love of astronomy among New Jersey's youth and communities
