Registration not required but suggested because of limited parking

  • We are pleased to provide access to solar viewing equipment for all attendees.
  • Solar glasses will also be available for purchase at the observatory for your convenience.
  • In the event of adverse weather conditions, we will provide a live stream from a location with clear skies so that you can still witness this celestial wonder from the comfort of our observatory.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE EVENT

Event Schedule:

- 1:00 PM EDT: Event Commences

- 2:00 PM EDT: Eclipse Starts

- 3:20 PM EDT: Eclipse Maximum

- 4:30 PM EDT: Eclipse Ends

- 6:00 PM EDT: Event Concludes

Eclipse Highlights:

- The total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada.

- The total solar eclipse will begin over the South Pacific Ocean.

- Weather permitting, the first location in continental North America that will experience totality is Mexico's Pacific coast at around 11:07am PDT (2:07pm EDT).

- Jenny Jump will be in approximately the 90-95% totality band
